A Maternity Photoshoot in Key Biscayne, Bill Baggs State Park with Alice & Tom

A few days ago I got to photograph one of the sweetest maternity photoshoots in Key Biscayne—with Alice and her husband Tom, who were visiting Miami all the way from London. The shoot was a gift from her aunt Nicolette, and we did it at one of my favorite places in the city: Bill Baggs State Park in Key Biscayne.

We started the session at 6pm, and even though the sun was still a little strong and the beach was full of people, we managed to sneak into some quiet spots in the park. There were trees casting beautiful shadows, and Alice’s floral dress looked stunning with the golden light peeking through the branches. It was the perfect vibe for a maternity photoshoot in Key Biscayne.

They were such a vibe together. Tom kept whispering silly things in her ear and making her laugh the entire time. You could feel how much fun they were having and how comfortable they were just being themselves. I love when couples bring that real energy to the session—it makes all the difference, especially in a maternity photoshoot in Key Biscayne where natural emotions show in every shot.

After a few photos in the wooded area, we walked over to the lighthouse. They were about to close, but the park staff was super kind and let us take a few quick photos there (bless her!).

Then we finished up on the beach, where they threw on their sunglasses, walked barefoot on the sand, and ended the shoot sitting together by the water.

Honestly, it was so chill and fun. Alice is 5 months pregnant, which isn’t typically when I do maternity sessions since the belly isn’t always super visible—but we still got some really sweet shots with just a little bump showing. And that little bump made this maternity photoshoot in Key Biscayne even more special.

The whole thing lasted about an hour, and I left feeling really grateful to have met them. This session was full of laughs, sunshine, and a couple who clearly adore each other.
